This translator substitutes certain common ascii characters, such as the letter A/a or O/o for identical-looking characters which are, in fact, different unicode characters (In the case of A/a, it can be replace by Greek Uppercase Alpha Α or Cyrillic Lowercase а). This is can be used to submit normal-seeming text that breaks computer programs which expect ascii-only text, or serve as a shadow watermark if someone attempts to copy your text. It also tends to screw up fonts somewhat, and is generally annoying.
