Aeltharyn
The Common Elven Tongue
Aeltharyn (called “the First Weave” in older texts) is known by all Elves, though none of them speak it the same way.
🌿 Sylven — Keepers of the True Form
> Speak it closest to its original structure
> Use it in scholarship, crafting, enchantment
> Claim Aeltharyn is proof of their ancient, near-divine origin
Sylven speech is:
> Precise, measured, almost architectural
> They consider “sloppy Aeltharyn” a sign of cultural decay.
🌱 Kalindrin — The Sacred Tongue
> Treat Aeltharyn as holy
> Use it in prayer, oaths, and battle-rituals
> Believe Kali understands only this tongue
> Kalindrin rarely speak it casually.
When they do, it is:
> Quiet, deliberate, and reverent
> To misuse it is sacrilege.
🔥 Drindoran — The Weaponized Tongue
> Use Aeltharyn for command, discipline, and war doctrine
> Shorten phrases; harden pronunciation
> Prefer it for formal challenges or declarations
Their accent makes it sound:
> Sharp-edged, dangerous, restrained fury
> Other Elves dislike hearing Drindoran chant ancient words meant for creation.
🍃 Panadrian — The Playful Corruption
> Love Aeltharyn—but refuse to treat it solemnly
> Use it for riddles, songs, wordplay
> Bend meanings intentionally
Panadrians say:
> “If the First Tongue can’t laugh, it isn’t alive.”
> Purists hate this. Everyone else secretly enjoys it.
